Safer VPN – 81% OFF
SaferVPN is a pretty fast VPN that’s becoming increasingly popular to the more privacy-conscious users. Upload and download speeds are very good across its global network, and access to Netflix and other streaming services is made easy through servers optimized for video. Well-designed custom apps are available for all platforms and are incredibly easy to set up and use.
SaferVPN’s well-designed and professional offering gave us a decent first impression. A relative newcomer to the world of VPNs, SaferVPN is an Israeli company that got its start in 2013 with 150 servers in 24 countries. Over the past four years, the server count increased to around 700 and its country list currently stands at 34.
Techradar’s verdict: Fast, friendly, and with some very easy-to-use clients, but beware – there’s no torrent support.
Why VPN is next best thing for your privacy?
VPNs are an invaluable tool to keep your internet activity private, secure and anonymous. VPNs are great for securing your connection when you’re using public Wi-Fi, but they can also be put to work in your home. When you use a VPN, you’re adding a layer of obfuscation to your online activities and digging an encrypted tunnel between your traffic and anyone who tries to spy on you.
There are a number of reasons why you might want or need to use a VPN, such as:
Security: It is convenient to be able to surf the internet at your local coffee shop. But public internet connections are notoriously insecure. While using a VPN, public Wi-Fi is much safer. VPN protects your laptop or mobile device from viruses, malware, phishing, IP leaks and other threats to your identity and personal data online, so you can do everything you need to do – including online shopping – with total security.
Privacy: A VPN allows you to surf the internet anonymously, with no recorded logs of your online activity. You can visit sites that are blocked on your home or work computer, without a trace.
Unblock geo-restricted content: There are many destinations in the world where the internet is restricted. In some countries, you may not be able to access certain sites due to government or copyright restrictions. With a VPN, you can spoof your location, enabling you to bypass local restrictions and access the websites you want.
Speed & Reliability
Performance was generally very good. SaferVPN is not only safe and secure, but also damn fast.
SaferVPN is probably not the fastest VPN out there but it makes up for that by delivering reliable performance across its server network. Speeds are more than ample for streaming all your favorite shows in HD across multiple devices. We also recorded very low latency making SaferVPN an excellent choice for gamers.
As for speed and reliability SaferVPN is a safe bet. It will definitely get the job done, and its speeds are currently among the fastest.
Unfortunately torrenters and P2P users might be disappointed as currently P2P is only permitted on the Canadian, Spanish and Netherlands servers.
SaferVPN falls short on server locations when compared to other top-tier providers with only 34 countries to choose from. SaferVPN does operate a fairly large number of individual servers at over 700, however with only 1,000 IP addresses on offer they’re definitely at the smaller end of the scale compared to their rival providers.

Don’t forget that some of SaferVPN’s competitors offer over 3000+ servers in 100+ countries. As SaferVPN’s user base grows, this could lead to reduced performance and traffic congestions.
User interface and ease of use
SaferVPN is one of the simplest and most user-friendly VPNs that we have ever reviewed. It took us less than 5 minutes to purchase, install, launch, and protect our Windows devices.
The service’s desktop program for Windows features a single panel with a non-interactive map of the world with current status information when connected, such as your PC’s current public IP address and time connected. If you click on the map marker to the right of the Connect button, a second panel shows up on the left with a list of SaferVPN’s possible connections.
They also make it easy to quickly find and optimize your settings and ensure that you have the perfect connection for your specific goals.
SaferVPN’s website clearly displays the company’s no logging policy: “We never log or monitor your VPN network traffic. What you do online is your business and we aim to keep it that way!” The reality is little different. The service in fact does record connect and disconnect times, bandwidth used, your incoming IP address and the IP address of the server allocated to you. That doesn’t tell anyone what you’re doing, but it’s more information than many other services collect.
SaferVPN supports a range of VPN protocols, including IKEv2 – the most advanced and newest VPN protocol. It’s known as the fastest of all the protocols and is secure, stable, and easy to setup.
SaferVPN’s settings also include the ability to auto-connect whenever you’re on a Wi-Fi connection, as well as a “safe list” of Wi-Fi networks where you don’t want to use a VPN. There’s also a kill switch to stop internet traffic when the VPN connection goes down.
SaferVPN offers fast, reliable speeds, both on local connections and across its global network. With one of the most straightforward user interfaces, SaferVPN makes it easy to use their service even for novice internet users. You get protected with just one click of a button.
